NEWS: About newly formed Division of Industrial Biotechnology

The Division of Bioprocess Technology is one of the nine divisions of the School of Biotechnology at KTH. Our research is focused on analysis and control of the physiology of microorganisms animal cells and human stem cells under process conditions and on downstream processing of recombinant proteins.

The laboratory includes a pilot plant with 500L fermentation capacity, and a highly automated 6-unit parallel minibioreactor system (GRETA) for high-throughput process development. The pilot plant is used for teaching, research and contract work .
